About Jenna Zemachson

Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, LCSW

I believe that with the right psychotherapy, one can face any life challenge head on, and develop the insight and the skills to grow from them. I have an empathic approach that allows the space for my patients to look within and do the necessary work to improve their lives. I specialize in working with college students and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. I have extensive experience helping individuals cope with occupational conflicts, relationship difficulties, lack of self esteem, panic and stress , and overall dissatisfaction in life.

I utilize a psychodynamic approach, and integrate various treatment modalities including Insight Oriented Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems. I am dedicated to helping people develop a sense of self that allows them to feel confident and at peace, while freeing up the roadblocks interfering with their ability to create the life they always wanted.

I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist who earned her Master’s Degree from New York University. After completing my Master’s in Clinical Social Work in 1999, I went on to attend a four year post-graduate program at The National Institute of the Psychotherapies. It was here that I was certified in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have since attended numerous trainings on alternative therapies including CBT, IFS, and Mindfulness.
