Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

We are not in-network with any insurance panels.  However, many of our clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits, HSA or FSA.   We can provide an itemized superbill monthly for clients to submit for reimbursement.

How frequently will I meet with my therapist?

At MWM, we request that our clients commit to therapy weekly.  Weekly therapy helps establish a trusting therapeutic alliance and shows the commitment from both the client and therapist. Over the course of a week, clients can more easily integrate what transpired during the session, without losing momentum towards established goals. Meeting with your therapist weekly keeps you accountable and focused. At WMW, we are invested in providing the best care to our clients and have seen that meeting weekly is most effective.

What is a psychoeducational evaluation?

Evaluations are beneficial for children who are struggling in one or more academic areas, as well as children who have difficulty with social interactions and maintaining friendships.  An evaluation can help when children are struggling with emotional control and/or are experiencing behavioral difficulties in their home and school environments.  If your child or adolescent is having trouble completing assignments and exams, an evaluation can help determine whether there are accommodations and modifications that may help address these concerns.

Similarly, adults who are having difficulty reaching their full potential in higher education in the workplace, will benefit from an evaluation. Evaluations may also be beneficial for those suspected of having a learning disability or attention disorder.

What is the fee for an evaluation?

Each evaluation is tailored to meet the needs of the individual.  The final evaluation fee will be discussed during the initial intake meeting.

Is insurance accepted for evaluations?

Although we do not accept insurance, once the evaluation is complete, we will be happy to provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
